My entry to the 'Angels' themed art contest on anime-mania.
The idea came to me while listening to Iron Maiden-For the Greater Good of God, and i hafta admit this is one of the most complicated draws i've ever painted, mostly due to the bg. It's awqward rly, since it took me abt 1 week to do the city[from sketching to painting], while ive painted the two angel chicks in abt a couple of hours.
I tried my best to put the two worlds[human and celestial] in antithesis because i wanted to better underline the idea of angels and other deities being pushed aside and crippled by humans' thoughtless actions against themselves
Hafta admit that the nuclear mushroom was rly fun to paint, since at the beginning it was pink and green, evolving to weirder hues by the brush stroke o,o
I rly RLY loathe the way the water and clouds came out, they so utterly suck >.< And after inking it i stopped and looked at the bushes and ugh-ed "Wtf are soon-to-be-green bushes doing in this draw ?... i'm such a huge-ass idiot''
